Flugtag = German for “Flying Day”

Sign me up!

“Roundhay Park in Leeds played host to the most exciting and creative event in aviation, Red Bull Flugtag! What is Red Bull Flugtag you ask? Red Bull Flugtag challenges teams of everyday people to build homemade, human-powered flying machines and pilot them off a 30-foot high deck in hopes of achieving flight! Flugtag may mean “flying day” in German, but all these crafts ultimately splash into the waters below. They are judged not only on their flight’s distance, but creativity and showmanship as well”

During the month of June, Provadenic Clothing Company collaborated with hello saskatoon in hosting a photo contest. To summarize, the intention behind this was to promote new and unique expressions of our beautiful city (Saskatoon) through the art of photography. We received a rad variety of entries, and in the end it was a tough decision in choosing a winner.

Finally though, the contest has officially come to a close and the decision has been made…

The homies at Provadenic and hello saskatoon are glad to announce Evan Neufeld as our winner! Congratulations Evan!

As promised, we will be using this as a tee graphic and a blog header. Evan will also receive one of the limited edition tees free and a $60 gift card to a local store of his choice.

Check it out the winning entry!

What defines Saskatoon?  I was stumped on this topic but after leaving home for a while this past year I realized how much I love it here.  To sum it up in a word, Saskatoon is… GREAT!  Along with my love for the city, this photo relates to our beloved town through the Great Western Brewing Company (this is the side of their building) which is a symbol of the hard working, successful businesses we have that are run by people who are driven by a desire for quality products and supporting the local community.  This photo is a winner because it exemplifies my feelings towards our city and it is a creative shout-out to the many entrepreneurs who eat, sleep and breathe Saskatoon to make our city and our province a better place. -Evan Neufeld

Keep in touch with the fam, the shirts will be limited. Thanks again to all of our participants.

Yesterday I dropped in at Escape Sports on my way home from work and picked up my first longboard. After a lengthy discussion about what exactly it was that I was looking for, the guys at Escape pulled out the Land Yachtz Pocket Knife. The deal was done. Love at first sight. Born to be wild.

Beyond the old school hot rod design, the deck graphic was an instant sell. The wolf, the shark, and I. We are a triple threat.

The Place To Play

It’s summer right now, but give it a few months and you’ll be planning your winter getaway. With that in mind I’m enlightening you on a new resort to trump all resorts, an experience that may or may not suck you into early retirement, an environment in which adrenaline is on special every night and the sidelines are off-limits.

Welcome to Nitro City, Panama…

Be there.

Don’t forget to wear a helmet.

I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I could skate real good.

Check out my buddy Derek and his mad skills!..

If I was like Derek I would be cool.

Take a look at his Vimeo channel.

Longboards seem to be quite hype these days, and I’ve been feeling the pressure to pick one up for myself.

I may cave under the pressure soon and make the purchase, OR I could build one of these…

Let’s race.

Nitro Circus with Travis Pastrana was one of my favourite TV shows during it’s time on air.

The other day the Nitro Circus crew took their stunts live to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas…

Wish I could have been there to witness the insanity.

Last week I went out to my boss’s acreage for some off-road action. I had hooked him up with a big Provadenic decal awhile back, and we figured we may as well stick it on the tailgate, get some cool footage of some good fun, and then throw back some juicy burgers to top off a deadly evening.

Aside from Provadenic, I’m also involved with a local fashion, food, and interest blog called hello saskatoon. As a result, we at Prov put our heads together with the rest of the hello saskatoon boys and created a contest.

Check it out. Enter. Win. Boom.
